Judge Emily Thomspon: comments: My pick for junior champion is the senior doe kid. She has an advantage over her closets competitor the senior yearling in body capacity being deeper in the heart and in general appearance with straighter front legs when viewed from the front. She is stronger in feet and legs and more smoothly blended than the intermediate kid.
For Junior Best in Show- I am staying with the Lamancha mini breed for Junior best of show. It is very close between the Nubian Jr. champion and Lamancha, but I feel the Lamancha junior champion has an advantage in dairy character being slightly sharper in the withers and flatter boned. She will yeild to the length of body we have in the Nubian. She excels the alpinemini in her depth of body and width throughtout.
Judge Joan Mc Daniels comments: Our MiniMancha Champion today is from the Senior doeling class. She has high tight shoulders with a nice wide body and plenty of room for udder attachment and a lovely rear. Well balanced.

Judge Joan Mc Daniels comments: Narrower body than first place doe and lower udder attachment. Good angularity. She has lovely high shoulders but they don't flow into body as smoothly as first place doe. She has a long body with nice width and good udder attachments front and rear.
She is a nice smooth doe with a good width of body and capacious udder.

First place Intermediate doeling in both rings
Judge Emily Thompson comments: One places over two for general appearance. She is standing on a stronger set of rear pasterns, has a strong frame, and blends more smoothly from the neck into the shoulders.

blending more smoothly into body. Better leg set in rear.

Judge Joan Mc Daniels comments: Number 3 was third in the class with front feet turning out slightly but had a beautiful rear and nice deep body.
